Welcome to the Department of Plant Sciences.

The Department consists of the divisions of Botany, Plant Breeding and Plant Pathology. These divisions are multi-disciplined and cover plant related teaching subjects and research. Some subjects of interest include: molecular biology, chromosome studies, plant breeding, physiology and biochemistry, plant pathogens, ecology, limnology, taxonomy, ultrastructure and many more.

Students and researchers have access to the most modern laboratories and scientific equipment.
