Information
The Postgraduate Diploma in Theology (PDT) is a multi-purpose qualification that covers the broad spectrum of theological subjects. It may grant access to a master’s degree. At the same time, in some churches that set additional requirements for undergraduate studies, it may grant access to the church ministry. The P.D.T. thus serves as a useful qualification on postgraduate level to complete shortcomings with a view to master’s studies and the church ministry

Admission

In order to be admitted to study for the postgraduate diploma, a student must be in possession of a professional or a four-year interdisciplinary B.Th. degree or an interdisciplinary B.A. Hons. (Theology) or an advanced B.Th. degree conferred by this univer-sity, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Senate for this purpose.

The curriculum for this postgraduate diploma in Theology extends over two semesters (one academic year) and the student must obtain at least 128 credits as prescribed.
