Dr Jennifer Houghton is a PhD graduate of the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her focus is the nature of governance in cities, and in particular the complex investment dynamics and relationships between business and municipalities. She is based in the Department of Geography. Her current focus is on Ethekwini Metro Municipality (Durban).
Dr Peter Westoby is a Lecturer in Community Development, School of Social Work and Human Services. He is also an associate of the Australian Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Queensland. He spent much of 2011 at the Centre of Development Support, researching community development in the Free State.
Dr Girma Mohammad is completing his PhD at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. He will be based at the Centre for Development Support, working on the linkages between religion and development.
