Funding from a wide range of national and international funders is offered for various research activities, including travel grants, research grants, and postdoctoral fellowships.

The Directorate Research Development provides a range of tools and information to help researchers identify sources that are appropriate to their research area and career stage. DRD also provides information on the internal processes required by certain funding agencies.

In addition, the directorate offers grant‑writing support, which should be requested well in advance of submission deadlines.

The SPIN platform is an extensive database of worldwide funding opportunities accessible to all UFS employees and students.
